Kingsport, TN – Bobby “Casey” Cox, age 66 of Kingsport, entered into eternal life with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Bobby was born to the late Wannace Kalile Hager and the late Evelyn Irene Laney on December 8, 1949 in Norton, VA. On January 17, 1990, Bobby married his most cherished friend, Ms. Brenda Richmond, and after 26 years of a beautiful life together, she survives.
Bobby was an adventurous man. He loved traveling, especially going on cruises, with Brenda and he found solace in gardening. He loved growing flowers and that’s how he received his name of “Flower Man”. Bobby loved his family and he enjoyed his life with them. He will truly be missed; by his family and his friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Brenda Richmond Cox; three sons, Byron Cox, Erik Cox and wife Megan, and Nathan Hughes; three daughters, Macee Quales, Wendi Benson, and Kim Lawson and husband Tim; two brothers, Billy Cox and wife Peggy, and Lynn Hager and wife Kathy; one sister, Renha Turbyville and husband John; nine grandchildren, Annika Tarin and her life partner Viviana, Sarah Cox, Makenzee Quales, Ashlee Quales, Joseph Benson, and the children of Kim and Tim Lawson; sister-in-law, Mary Leggett and husband Keith; brother-in-law, Jim Richmond and wife Jennifer; several loving nephews, nieces, and other family members; a very special friend, Michael Bush; and his Maltese Baby, Scooter.
There will be a celebration of life ceremony for Bobby on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm in the Chapel at East Lawn Funeral Home.
