SEBASTIAN COUNTY, Arkansas–A Sebastian County Sheriff’s Deputy is not expected to survive from his injuries after he was shot on a family disturbance call on Wednesday. Also shot during the shooting Hackett Police Chief, Darrell Spells. The shooting happened near the intersection of Highway 253 and Boone Road around 7:15 a.m. The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Deputy has been identified as Bill Cooper. Both officers were taken to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith were Cooper has been taken off life support and is not expected to survive. Spells was released from hospital shortly after 10:30 a.m. The shooting suspect has been arrested.
