Miss Arkansas Is Named Miss America

Little Rock, Arkansas–Miss Arkansas, Savvy Shields, has taken the title of Miss America. Earlier in the week, her jazz routine won talent. Shields is a 21-year old senior at the University of Arkansas where she is majoring in Art with a minor in Business.

Miss South Carolina, Rachel Wyatt, was first runner up, followed by Miss New York, Camille Sims, as second runner up.

Savvy is the daughter of Todd and Karen Shields of Fayetteville. She is a 2013 High Honors Graduate of Fayetteville High School. She has one brother, Dane. Savvy is the granddaughter of Don and Patty Jensen of Rancho la Quinta, California and Bob and Sally Shields of Mason, Ohio.
