    MIAMI, December 17, 2025: U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation, accusing the network of defamation and deceptive trade practices over what he claims was a manipulated edit of his January 6, 2021, speech. The lawsuit, lodged in a federal court in Miami, alleges that the BBC’s documentary misrepresented Trump’s remarks in a way that falsely implied he incited the violence at the U.S. Capitol. According to the 33-page complaint, the case centers on a segment aired in the BBC’s investigative program “Panorama,” which examined the events surrounding the Capitol unrest.
